Hi Friends (Oops PSII's = PS2's):

It has taken a while, but my BMW style 101's and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's finally are installed. My wheels/tires were delivered to my dealer several weeks ago, but the batch contained one damaged rear. Time matched on, and I was out of town, etc. And, it took the dealer three more trys to get another good rear. I am posting some [probably too many ~0{;^)] pics. I know the car could stand some lowering, but I am happy with it as is for now. I am not likely to lower it for ease of disposal when I let the car go. I don't want to have to uninstall and then sell too many after-market parts.

Thanks much. I really like the ride--very quiet, smooth, and soft. Handling is improved, although I haven't yet done anything very extreme. Wheels/tires are way lighter than stock.

I believe you made a post once about hearing a hum--that eventually went away. I tried to find the post, but couldn't. But, anyway, no hum.

Very, very nice, my favorite wheel. Do these extend out more (more ET or wider or spacers)? I like the look and as I have stated before on 101s they make the car look classy not blingy.

Hi Don,

Yes the hum was there only on certain surfaces. But you had to listen really carefully. The guys at Tirerack said the tyres need a few hundred miles to properly wear in.

Any way I have done 700km on mine & they are amazing. Of course there will always be surfaces that are noisy to drive on with any tyre, but on 90% of the roads I drive on the tyres are really quiet, and very smooth.

Enjoy!

Thanks cobradav. No, they don't extend out more as far as I can tell, and I have no spacers. I was in a hurry when I took/finished my photos. I am going to go back and make them larger. I'll replace the original attachements. I'll put a note on this thread letting all know. So, check back for a tad more impact later. My favorite wheels too. I think other wheels look equally good, but this wheel/tire combo is hard to beat, overall, because it is so light.

Thanks again. I'll let you know if I encounter a hummy surface.
