Anyone know if the iPod kit is compatible?
Does your in dash player play mp3 cds? If not, it may need to be coded. Some dealers will not want to upgrade the software and even pull up a service bulletin which states the update will not work on cars built after 11/04 (I think). However, there have been a few members with an 04 build date that went through with the update anyway and it seemed to work for them.

Hope this helped. If not, use the search function. This topic has been discussed before and there should be a lot of info. Good luck to you.

I have a 2005 530i with no nav. I installed the iPod interface myself and had the dealer code it. It works like a charm.
