Waiting for trunkopener button from Hobi :)

I guess these OEM lamps will have a dot approval. But in europe you will need to have the red reflectors (on the bumper) to make it legal.

As far as I know you don't need rear reflectors in the us (there are no reflectors in the original lights too), so that would mean they are legal (I think).

No, you need something that reflects red at the rear in the US. The normal taillights do that just fine and meet the US DOT standards. (For some reason, the extra reflectors didn't get the approval.)

If you remove the red taillights to install the rice versions, you need something red back there to replace what you removed -- therefore the "DUB," as pictured, would never pass for legal!

See the sketch of the rear lamp assembly on page 183 OM to ID the reflector. You manual may be different.

"DUB" is sort of ghetto slang for 20 inch wheels.

They even have a magazine devoted to the subject...
