blacking out chrome around windows; how to?

How have you guys blacked out the chrome trim that outlines the windows?

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV

I did it twice with paint, satin black then gloss black, didn't like the look. Then I used vinyl, gloss black, looks MUCH better.

Just buy the shadowline trim. Its about 275 bucks and well worth it.

true, worth it if you want matte. I wanted gloss, I like being a little different, and OEM gloss trim is $850 - so not worth it. Vinyl was easier.

Not bad, but I am thinking of getting some CF gloss panels to make it more uniform, or maybe vinyl the B pillars too

yup use bmwshadowline.com vinyl ($27) and looks just as good, well as long as you have some kind of vinyl experience/skills...saves you lots of money and work to take off and replace all the trim...

HAHAHA I had no vinyl experience at all, but it's still pretty easy - especially since I took the trim off the car.
