Those pics made up my mind, I'm going to do it asap, how do they wrap the bluetooth bit though?
Is it easy to remove the fin to do the entire roof, then the fin, and then put it back on? does it unscrew? How is it attached to the car? anybody have a DIY to remove it?

I don't think that painting your roof black is being a poser...but I definitely think that putting an M badge on is. A black roof isn't representing something that really isn't there..it's a black roof!
I think it looks good..it smooths out the lines of the car and makes it look more streamlined rather than if you're looking at the car and seeing glass to silver to moonroof to silver to glass...it allll looks cleeeeeean!
but to each their own!
here's a pic from a while back...personally, I like my black roof!![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

I like the look of the black roof, did you paint it or is it Vynil?
If you did vynil how did you do the bluetooth bit.
I am in the process of trying to find a shop locally to me to do a vynil black roof on my titanium grey E60, i think it will match up well with the tints, CF theme and shadowline (hopefully coming soon)

I painted mine..I thought it just looked a little cleaner and less "busy" than CF

I may have to get a black wrap, instead of the CF.
Tough choice....

i think it looks clean. i was thinking about getting an overlay done on my car by a friend who owns a tint shop.
sorry to threat jack, but has anyone used the shadowline trim for their windows?
is that the same vinyl trim that people are saying to stay away from?
thanks

I dont know what all you guys are talking about, but I think it looks great on E60's
I going to get my roof wrapped in vinyl very soon.
The only problem I have is whether to get black or carbon fiber.
I think it will only look good on a modded out E60, with rims and body kit.

I'd recommend getting the cast vinyl rather than calendared vinyl as it is stronger and should last longer.

Personally I like the way it looks, I agree that it does only look good if the car has a kit and some nice rims on it though. I'd probably go with vinyl too since it is easier to remove if you want to sell/trade later (like for an F10?). If I did something like that I would wait until my car is almost done with the mods.
