I just purchased a can of plasti-dip last week to do my shadowline trim and I had a majority of the can left over and figured I'd give it a go on my mirrors for fun. I figured it can be removed so what do I have to lose if I dont like it or f**k it up somehow. Plus I've been kinda bored on here lately and wanted to contribute a little. I got the inspiration from member psE60, his were gloss black and I like that look a lot better but I wanted to try the plasti-dip before paying around $100 and a couple days inconvenience to get them painted. I only had my iphone on me so sorry for the pics, I didnt have time to do it until about 9:00. I'd like to know your opinion on this mod, thanks guys

It blends! Heck, it'll even act as a mirror cover!

Haha, I might do this to my AW. It'll have to do until I FINALLY get my hands on a set of M5 mirrors. Thanks for sharing.

looks good! I had my grill plasti dipped in May and now some chips are apparent. Let us know how it holds up against rock dings and chips. I like the look, good job!
Also, are those Miro 942's? If so, where did you get your BMW center caps??? thanks man...

OP, thanks for posting/doing this. I actually have the same color and was debating doing my mirrors as well. Looks good so I think I'll give this a shot. I did my fender grills in plasti-dip the other day and it was easy to work with. Here is a before/after photo that I took at the time. As you can see, the finish on the plasti-dip isn't perfectly smooth, but its consistent throughout:

How many coats did you do? Plasti Dip is known to be pretty tough. Back a year ago when I had my grilles Plasti Dipped, they were super tough. Never a chip.
