My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i E60 3.0 I6 225hp 220torgue with custom grill and custom cold air intake.
Hi,
Anyone actually tried any perfomance mods on a 2004 530i E60 BMW?
I see post about hacking ECU, Body Kits, Airfilters and Exhaust.
Anyone in the USA supercharged this car or added turbo. Even Nitrous?
Does any European people in the forum have any modes that can be shipped to the US? Can someone send me a program or any tips for performance?
I also would like specifics on how to remapping. Please help.
I have ordered a B&B cold air intake but can not figure out how to do away with the MAF sensor.
I thought about just mounting the sensor to my new cold air intake.
Also I order a SSM(sensor signal Modification Unit and I am not sure if it is a good product.
If anyone heard of this product please give me info. Pros and Cons!
Last one, What is the IAT sensor and where is it located?

I want to do a supercharger on my 530i, but before I do I wanna make sure the cars suspension and brakes can handle it so it's going to be a while before I get around to it. I'd definitely be interested to see what you do though, keep us posted.

My Ride: 2005 530i Individual, DVD Package, HUD, Bluetooth, Comfort Seats, SR, etc
trade your 530 and get a 550i and if in EU get a 535d----solves the matter, the amount of time , money and risk you will be taking to upgrade your car its probably worth the same to get a 550i.... you can do Hamann Engine Upgrade or some superchargers available in the market, but i say steer away and enjoy the good fun you already have....!!

1. remap or ECU mod
2. bigger charger
3. replacement engines.
so...
1. will give you max.19 HP on petrol ECU cannot do much!
2. you can gain more HP when you supercharge it.
3. you go to tuner and asks for a "moded engine from 3L to 3,3L ) this is the best and can have but it cost more of course
send a PM if you want to know more!

Also I know a custom Turbo can be done.
Just bored with the performance now and ready to start a project.
I have been thru this before and prove to everyone that my smaller motor will run just as fast if not faster..
This was when i raced Camaros and I beat everyone with my little 305 V8 that was pulling every trick in the book. some came out of know where.

Mods: Radenergie R-10's 20x 9,20x 10 Mich PS2 tires 245/35fr 285/30rr, Eibach prokit springs, AC Schnitzer front lip, ACS side skirts, ACS exhaust, ACS silver carbon interior and Hamann rear trunk spoiler...to be cont.

The intake is lying in my garage right now, i would give away that intake for FREE to anyone local once i'm back to the states.
