Just a heads up, as well as a confirmation that I live in a truly crappy climate. Got a Carbon Fiber trim kit awhile back off the forum and installed it myself. Unfortunately, due to my battery dying my car had to sit out at night in -40 to -45 Celsius cold. In addition to having to replace my battery, imagine the horror at opening my car the next morning and each piece of trim had "shattered". full cracks through each and every piece, destroyed!!
I'm sure no one lives in a stupid place like this, but if you have CF trim, and there's a chance it's gonna be cold, just a heads up. Thinking I'll get the overlays this time, as the "rubberized" exterior stuff I had was fine.

I feel your pain man, I don't live far from you and we get the same crappy temps. Sorry to hear about your trim, this makes me glad I was cheap and went with the CF fabric wrap instead. I am also on the verge of needing a new battery my fan speed won't turn up past the 4th notch I charged it over night and that fixed it for 2 days then the problem came back again so I guess its time for a new battery.

Carbon Fiber has been used on aircraft composites for primary flight controls, wings and fuselage for years, never seen this type of failure on aircraft regularly exposed to cruise temps of -70 deg F. From the picture it looks more like the surface translucent covering failed rather then the underling Carbon Fiber. Anyway, it still suck royally
