Derr, I would request real pictures of the product. I am not sure how the person can claim it's plug and play if it's not a female input. That means you will have to get another female adapter to actually input anything. In addition, wth is that picture of the wire created in MSPaint? Wtf?!

Well i asked for a pic. He said I'm sorry I do not have a picture. It is a 3.5mm cable with female connectors on the end for you to plug into your existing BMW Xplug. Installation instructions long with the schematics of which ports to use etc.

So i guess i should get the factory one?

i have personally done the install for AUX cable on a e46 m3 and i can tell you its not that simple. like nguyenazn stated, you have to remove the trim then remove the center concole and drill a hole somewhere to route the cable out. the lci e60s have this style input. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...hmentid=485910 it is a usb as well as AUX combined into this cable http://www.mini2.com/forum/attachmen...8&d=1188897814 IIRC the BEST for pre lci, and what i would reccomend is the dension gateway 500 which allows for the integration of whatever your attempting to play thru the idrive

So jasperxli your saying to get that aux and usb plug working i have to first install the ipod cable? I was thinking of the dension but that requires me gettingcdc enabled right? I will be retrofitting my m-ask to ccc so im going to be removing the console anyway.
