Doesn't ESS have an SC for the 530? Wonder how the two compares.
ESS has a supercharger for the 530i with the M54 engine http://www.esstuning.com/default.asp?c=sho...at2=229&id=

Well I know my modded 530i is uncomparable to the M5 but look at it this way. My car bone stock with 56,000 miles is worth no more than 24,000 + 10,000 that i spend for the mod. Thats $34,000. I would have to put AT LEAST ANOTHER $10k down to get an M5. We are talking about an additional 10k here at least. I wouldnt want an M5 that is out of warranty or close to it because you cant get extended warranty on those i dont think
But you have no warranty in this case and a supercharger that was made for an e46 had to be rigged up to fit in your car. You walked out of the door with a major unacceptable issue(in my eyes at least). My only point was that you could have spent it on an upgraded car (not necessarily an M but definitely a 535 or 545) put a few bucks in mods in and most likely walk by your car if hp and performance is your main concern. I have no interest in how you spend your money and if it makes you happy then great. People are jumping on this thread like people are calling you an ass. I really don't think that's the case, I think its more of we can't understand the logic because you know have a car thats debatebly faster than a 550 or 535 but will get eaten alive by a 535 w/ a chip and have just put a huge strain on the motor and have no warranty to back up the car. The 10k is probably only the tip of the iceberg considering the increase in wear and tear on a motor thats not designed to be supercharged. Anyway good luck with the mod and I think this will be way less of an issue when we see the dyno.

Very nice mod...I agree that this will definately wear your motor down faster...Also you voided any kind of warranty you have left....I know here in cali, there is NO WAY that will pass smog....So IMHO, I think I would have personally went another route, espically do to the smog laws out here....G/l and can't wait to see the dyno #'s!!

You don't have to explain yourself. The d-bag comments made by many in this thread is the kind of stuff that has killed this forum. It is no longer what it once was.

Enjoy your mod. Glad to see someone doing something different for a change. +1

well said.

There are 2 kind of BMW drivers:

1) Stickers on stock (specially engines). Of course some of them complain to modders because they believe the BMW engineers or/and for the warranty.
2) modders who enjoy modding their BMW especially with out of warranty and many of them want their cars to be unique like Jashy did on his 530i SC!

it is a free world!

and I can't wait for the videos (against a modded 535i, M3 and M5) and dyno runs!
