I'm looking to add an exhaust. I want all the deep throaty sound, performance gains would be nice but not mandatory. I know the prices range but I just don't want the drone. I want to stay with the single outlet, not looking for the quad. I've researched the following but need some help based on personal experience. Maybe one of the below is great with some slight tweaking thats not mentioned on their sites.

Meisterschaft GT

Remus

RPI

DInan

Supersprint

Magnaflow 14816 (inlet is only 2.5") think this requires to much work.

How about go with a muffler delete? I did it and it sounds great, nice deep and throaty sound with very, I mean very little drone at around 1500 rpm but I doubt anyone stay at that range when driving.

I've had both the Dinan as well as the RPi exhaust on my 535i and E60 M5. The Dinan had a very subtle tone with zero drone but they are extrememly expensive compared to the others. At the time I was looking for maximum performance gains so ended up selling both Dinan exhausts. The RPi exhausts will be louder than Dinan but the performance is excellent. Good luck with your search!

I'd go with the RPi If I would do it again.

On a side note, I do have a custom quad Remus exhaust that I am selling for $450. You get 2 mufflers for less than the price of 1..

I had a Remus Sports exhaust installed and it sounds great. At my freeway cruising speed of 80 there is no drone. Its a tad bit louder then stock.

I read your separate post recently on adding the forgestar wheels (congrats!!!) and the remus exhaust. You mentioned there a drone at highway speeds. Your post made me think twice because I was leaning toward the remus. Cost and look are perfect but I don't want the drone. Did your drone go away since your original post??

Thanks. No there isn't a droning noise when I'm cruising at freeway speeds or around town. The only time you hear the exhaust is at acceleration or WOT but it still isn't loud more subtle. The sunroof tilted up is noisier at freeway speeds then the exhaust as a point of reference.
