In response to your comments...
Like I said I wasn't trying to be a jerk. It was speculation on my part. I am actually trying to do you a favor by pointing out that you are paying too much for certain things. Many other members have pointed this out to you. In the thread that you started that I posted in my last post you stated that you paid $5000 for 166 style wheels w/tires. Most of us here posted that you paid too much.
Above you posted that the cost of your rear bumper and exhaust cost you $2300. As explained above even with your breakdown of cost it still seems like too much. I never mentioned buying parts from ebay so I do not know where you pulled that one from and how that is relevant with what I am talking about.
I bought my wheels from Garry at BMW in Newport. Many people on here do. You get a 25% discount from him ALL THE TIME! Why wouldn't you buy from him and pay less? Those 166 wheels that you mentioned are $1495 + about $100 to ship to your area + around $1400 for tires and that is on the high side. I know because my second choice was the 166 wheels. That would make the total around $3000. Why would you spend $2000 more?
My point is that you should shop around because yes you can buy OEM BMW parts for less than what you stated you are paying. Also you can pay much less for installs at many different shops that are very qualified to do BMW work. Once again maybe I came off as being critical. I was just trying to point out that you are paying too much for your parts and installs, or you may have been misquoting what you paid. I never said that you were flat out lying.
Maybe you have more money than most of us so you don't need to bargain shop. If that is the case then good for you, I should just keep my mouth shut and let you spend away.
