Thanks also for the dealer contact. My dealer for some reason STILL insists that its not a USA part and will not order it for me. What a jacka**.

I will order the part myself and call around for a dealer that can install and more importantly, reprogram my unit.

i don't think you need to order the part your own. just give them the part number and they'll do the rest. if they still can't find it, ask them if you can find the part, can they install it and reprogram it for you. good luck .

Had my third and final conversation with my dealer (Barrington, IL). They insist there is no Part Num that can be ordered for the US cars and that installing this Aux Input can "damage my electrical system".

Ugh. Now I need to find another dealer who will be willing to do the work for me.

Maybe the US dealers can't read the German instructions of the original post. Until they see English instructions, they might not do the install??
