Well while I was at the dealer this morning for a bluetooth upgrade, his shop forman clamined they could add the AUX kit? What suprises me is that they didn't have part in stock Thursday.. so I now wait and see what happens... I told them to go ahead with it if possible.

and it don't work..
Not with a discman, I-pod or portable DVD player.
Not in my E60 or in the X3..
I tried 2 different cables aswell.
Hmm... What am I missing here?

My dealer installed it and it showed up in the menu after the initialization. Once I picked it up it dissappeared from idrive... After another initialization it is now there again and remains there, but no sound. I tried different cables and adapters... Nothing...
Dealer is checking with Munich tomorrow...

[/quote]FlowerFred,
my dealer received a call from Munich, that the software update might have been faulty. They asked him to do it again...
Will try that Wednesday next week.

Just left the dealer my AUX adapter is now completed and now working after a minor problem, when the dealer 1st installed it, one of the three pins was not seated tight in to the plug. He used part #82 11 0 149 390 which I belive is a Aux Cable for the E39 but BMW told him the cable is the same... The part was only $39.95 and a 1 1/2 labor to recode and test..
