I guess this will be only for the EU motors out there.
I've seen there is a new DAB add on unit available from Connet2
Here's a link to a site supplying it
There's a video on youtube showing it working on an e90 non idrive but i can't find anything for a e60 pro nav.
So has anyone tried one, I like the way its intergrated and out of view.
Here's the video if your interested.

There available on Monday from dab on wheels. I'll get the mag mount Ariel as the stick on window ones are useless.
If I remember, I'll take photos and do a write up.
It looks simple enough to install, the bit i'm looking forward to is steering wheel control and on screen station display (if it works as it does on the m-ask radios)

Ordered with ariel and on a 45 day trail for £218
Should have it by Tuesday and hopefully I'll find some time at work to get it fitted.
Now to get ready for some snow drifting later

Please keep us posted, I am extremely interested. I had done a DAB retrofit on the CCC using the BMW OEM parts. But this is superb.

After some hassel with getting it ordered and them sent to the wrong address I finale have it. I will hopefully have the time to fit it at work tomorrow in the heated warehouse.
In the meantime here are the unboxing photo's.
I will scan a PDF of the user manual if it's wanted.
I didn't come with an installation manual, the only doc's i could find online we're for a VW.
It looks straight forward to do, unplug quad lock, connect new loom between the factory, same with the aerial. then plug the DAB aerial in. put car back together.
I'll make an installation PDF with photo's. If I get round to it i'll make a video of it working too.
Most inportant thing is to remember to "disconnect the battery" before doing anything. I learned that the hard way

It's installed and working really well. The text can be a little slow to display on the screen (I think this is more to do with the Car) but there are voise annoucments to tell you where you are in the menu. It's easy to use.
I've used the standard aerials and the extra one dosen't seem to wont to work it the unit. I've phoned the manufacturer about and will try there suggestions tomorrow. The standard aerial works really well, it loses signal in the same aera as my old Purehighways with a mag mount aerial.
that's enough chit chat you wan tot see the video!

It's still uploading some give it half hour it's nearly a 1GB in size.
Here is a PDF of the install. It's not the best but anyone giving it a go should get the gist of it.

Let me know what you think..
