not sure if you can make the offset bigger...only smaller via spacers...

have you considered VMR CSL/VB3 wheels?

I wonder if the miro M6 reps will fit (the 3 series offset )

I have seen 166 reps in a high ET. They look terrible and nothing like what you see on RWD models. OEM 166's do not fit the xi ET requirements. Not 100% sure on 172's, but it's likely the same issue. You may want to start pursuing other wheel options. I went with Gene's suggestion to you...VMR VB3s, as shown in the sig. Oh...one other thing...the 19" 128's off of X3's ARE MINT!!! They do come in the proper ET and a member just posted his awesome setup a couple of weeks ago. Check those bad boys out.

I found alot of options for the xi here:

X3's do work, E92's should work ( there are some very good E92 19" options) also E46's should work too. Not to mention VMR's and Miro's

The front ET should be 35 or greater. the rear should be 40 or greater depending on the width. There is no shortage of xi offset experts out here, such that is you post something like "will these work on my xi?", we will all come out from under our rocks.
