Would using the terminals in the engine bay and angel eye power wires in a relay create this effect (have the led DRL on when the angels turn on)??
Yah, this is really simple. You basically just tap into the appropriate wire, and voila. You could use the terminal and use a relay, but that's just making it more complicated than necessary for this particular application.

I have a E60 LCI and located in Hong Kong. Asked about the DRL package "PROMOTION" when I had my service last week.

1. USD$550.00 parts+labour.
2. Replacement grille is model specific. E60 LCI does not have one suitable.
3. To be installed next to the fog light infront of the OE grille.
4. Method: Punch holes on your bumper to install.

No point going back to the dealer for that.

What I am intending to do is:
1. Giving up (totally uninstall it) the fog lights.
2. Terminate the fog light power source with suitable resistors to avoid getting onboard messages.
3. Wire the DRL to ignition.
4. Wire the DRL to LCM. (to make use of the Dimmer function (100% output when lights are off / 30% output when lights are on)
5. Join the DRL with indicator signal. (the DRL syncho the blinks / and when locking / unlocking)

Will try to update this post when done.

I have picked up a set of those from a friend few weeks back , I thought it will look nice on VW GTI as i've seen a lot of people have done it on GTI's ,, but sounds interesting to give it a try , I can hook it up with my AE DRL since i have the Orions AE DRL already ..

That sounds very interesting. Please update us if you are able to get this setup. Thanks
