On a V1 idrive; when you put it in reverse can it go automatically to the full screen with the park lines or do buttons have to be pressed to go from pdc/camera split screen to full camera with park lines? Asking because I will use the full screen with park line as the split screen with pdc on the left and camera in the little box on right seems less useful.
As far as I can see, the camera angle is not wide enough to get the corners of the rear bumper...is this a problem?

Yes, it will work on a 2007 525i as long as you have iDrive and screen installed.
PM sent!

It will automatically change the screen to rear view camera when you put in reverse,
You can select/have either rear view with guide lines in full screen or PDC screen on left and rear view on right at same time by pressing "STAR -Source change" button on your steering wheel button for 2 seconds.
Camera has 170 degree wideview angle, never had a problem or complain yet.

The next time you put the car in reverse; will it remember the last screen that you picked or will it always default to one particular screen? I have sent you a pm.
