There are a few posts about this but they seem to run out in the sand and they end in questions only.
Does anyone have a working E60 car pc possibly with touch screen? How is it done?

Well I would say the picture quality is not very good, compared to for example Craggy´s screen. (where did he go anyway?)
But then again I don´t think he got that setup working at all with the idrive picture. So it´s a fall forward anyway. Good installation!
I like everything but the picture. I think he´s using vga to composite, it needs to be an expensive one to give even an acceptable output.
But the quality of the pictures taken of the installation can be bad so it´s hard to say.
I think the use of an good vga to rgb converter will be necessary to get a good picture. But the best would be a replacement screen with vga in, lvds in(like the oem screen), composite in, and can, so it will really work like the oem screen.
