I was thinking about the Ricky mod as well, maybe that would bypass the whole Brake malfunction.
i have the v6 version

:l

at first i thought it was due to my led reflectors being tied into the wiring

but it wasnt

removed them from it and still *dinged when i would break

it is pretty annoying... ur out for a nice ride with someone and suddenly u got to explain y the hell that ding keeps coming up

ive never spoken to bruce about this, nor do i think i will... since i did buy them used and not directly from him... im kinda just shit out of luck really

Apparently the v6 cables are having issues as well. Its understandable since you didnt buy directly from him, but i did and havent gotten any decent customer service. It is embarassing when people tell me maybe you should pull over to check if your break light is working

No first my v5 had a right tail malfunction, now v6 gave a left tail malfunction. So both have the same problem.

Actually i didnt know what the warranty was on these, im not sure if it was ever mentioned. Craftmenship looked great, should have researched more before splurging.

I am here.

All my products come with an industry standard 12 months warranty. I do not hesitate to replace anything within that time.

Companies who have total control on the entire manufacturing or have a huge margin in their products are the only ones who provide a longer warranty, I am neither of those.
Why is there an expectation for me to provide free support after that period. The V6 is extremely stable, it is solid state and should last forever but problem can and do happen. For all the cables I have sold there are bound to me one or two that fail over time. Infact aresh is my first customer who has come back after using the V6 for over a year to report a problem, the V6 has been in production for 2.5 years and I have had one on my car running absolutely fine for about 3 years now.

I am still trying to help aresh with this issue and providing him possible solutions of trying to fix the issue himself. I am even suggesting buying a single side (at cost), even though this causes me to be left with unpaired sets. But if a free replacement after 12 months is what is being sought then unfortunately I am not able to.

If there are others who are having problems with the V6 cables please contact me and I will try and help were possible.

I think that the at cost of these cables is somewhere between $20-40 if memory serves me right with my electrical engineering degree...

Bruce, with all due respect this is probably a good opportunity to help someone in the community and show that your products are worth their weight in gold. Considering that Aresh is your first customer you should ship him a new set of cables at the cost of shipping them only. He believed in your product as many other do and shouldn't be treated as if he is trying to rip you off.

I just hope this isn't a trend. Those cables were expensive and for them to just go to hell and have no support is pretty scary! *crosses fingers* These cables cost upwards of $400.
