I'd compare the RPI exhaust to a porn star: deep, throaty, and aggressive
Great analogy, Gene. Did it come from a personal experience with videos or something more intimate?

once thing to take note of is sometimes mentioned in some used RPI exhaust FS threads is the reason for selling is the sound and how their wife and/or kid(s) thought it was too loud. Although "too loud" is a personal preference/measurement, so it's really tough to make that call without hearing it for yourself.

I can say that the RPI exhaust does not sound "import tunerish".

I'd compare the RPI exhaust to a porn star: deep, throaty, and aggressive

GL with your decision
I'd compare the RPI exhaust to a porn star: deep, throaty, and aggressive
By far the best description! Good one, Gene!

I'm in the 35+ group.

My 17 year old son likes it.
My 13 year old daughter likes it.
My ex-wife.... well who cares about her.
My girlfriend doesn't mind it at all.

I am 29 and can relate to wanting to keep your E60 "classy." Personally I want to get the RPI exhaust for my 545i as I want my car to have a little bit more growl to it.

I am not married nor can I speak to the RPI exhaust. However, I have the Remus single exhaust setup on my 550i. It's got a deep throaty sound at idle and you can hear it when you get on it. However, the 550i is so quiet thatwith normal driving it can't be heard. Within a week, I wondered if I should have gotten a louder exhaust. But for me it's perfect. A deep sophisticated high tech sound when you wind it out.

You forgot to mention that as much as your daughter may like it, your wife HATES it.
She hates the pulleys, not the exhaust.
