I finally told her after she realized I stole the money for it from her purse one night. Between my secret mods, and my coke addiction, our relationship has been stained lately. The dead hooker in the freezer didn't help.
Man, that's hard core.

once thing to take note of is sometimes mentioned in some used RPI exhaust FS threads is the reason for selling is the sound and how their wife and/or kid(s) thought it was too loud. Although "too loud" is a personal preference/measurement, so it's really tough to make that call without hearing it for yourself.
I can say that the RPI exhaust does not sound "import tunerish".
I'd compare the RPI exhaust to a porn star: deep, throaty, and aggressive
GL with your decision

Like Gene (Geneatals) said, it's all about personal preference as to sound, etc...
I'm in the over 35 age group, and am considering the RPI exhaust for my 525....FYI, like you, I have to entertain clients, and deal a lot with of governmental officials (congressmen and senators) all of whom are in their late 40s+....IMO, I think it depends on the individual, and the level of confidence that they have in their mod....that being said, I also think that it would be inappropriate to drive around your clients and/or your boss in a car that was modded like it belonged in "DUB" magazine. What the members here have done is modded their cars in a way that is representative of what the e60s are all about..."classiness".
To help in dealing with your wife, I have prepped mine by telling her the sound from an RPI exhaust would be no different than that of a stock M5 exhaust... Not sure if she bought into it yet... we'll see...
Good luck with your decision...

Um, I turn 27 this month, single, and I chase vagina whenever possible. I guess I'm out of this poll.

This is quickly turning into one of my all time favorite threads.
If I could sell the wife on the $$$ and find a place to store the stock exhaust (I can't do either), I'd do the RPI exhaust for the 550 in a milisecond.
