Thanks for the iDrive pics. I think someone asked this question but I did not see an answer:

As these example pics are from an LCI car (looks like an E90?), will the product work on an pre-LCI E60? (2004, Pro Navi)

I can be a tester for this if you need one OP.

Hey I am located in SF and would like to purchase one of these, however I don't like the fact that it's taking one of the license plate lights to mount the camera. Is there another solution for this? I remember there was one camera that was mounted in the area of the release trunk that also retained the release trunk function.
I don't have any other types of cameras. This camera comes with the LED light built-in into the bracket, so you can still have illumination of your license plate.

There will be two types of modules. One for 2009+ cars and another for 2006+ cars. I would think it will work on 2004+ cars as well, but can't be 100% sure without testing it.

When did e60 LCI came out ? As far as I know they did some changes in 2008

LCI cars are produced from March 2007 onwards.

I think in the US this is called MY 2008 or later, but I am not sure.

I have a 2005 545i build date 11/04 and can be a tester of this.

That is what I thought ... I am 99% positive that BMW didn't do any changes to iDrive.

Don't be ... I am pretty sure it will work on your car as well ... I just need to test it first.
