Wow powerloss from adding mufflers! I definantly felt my car move better when I did the magnaflow exhaust... perhaps dual on the 5's arent good, hence why bmw didnt make it like so to begin with?

Seriously, how may of us will go through the trouble of doing pre and post dynos for an exhaust? I've been in the same situation as everyone else hoping that the exhaust I have not only sounds good but makes power as well. It's quite the eye opener when more often than not the majority of the aftermarket exhausts lose power. To potentially make power would require a complete system from the primary cats back and even then it's not guaranteed that power will be made. I know of two E60.net members with cat-back systems that have lost power. To absolutely make power, you need to delete the primary cats but then you're not compliant with emission standards.
