I'm curious to know if it's doable or not to retrofit the gearbox on a normal E60 .

In your opinion .

it is probably the same engine/gearbox. the guy writes that he bought it himself for 20k+ EUR but now needs to money to build his house, so he has to give up the project...

The gearbox should come with wires, ECUs etc..

Then we would need a 3.60-3.70 final drive ratio in the differential .

Too difficult mod I think .

I imagine the trans is designed to bolt up to the V10 specifically and the software/computer issues could be huge. Unfortunately it would have to be a one of a kind engineering project that would cost huge dollars/euros.
