My Ride: The Black Sapphire...
Unhappy

Hi,

I'am considering changing my 17" 122 rims. I would love the 167, but I have a difficulty to get my hands on a set here in Norway. And everybody always talks well of the 166.

So finally here's my question:

I have at hand a set of 166, they are 8,5x19" ET20 (front) and 9,5x19" ET20 (Back) with tire 235x35 on the front and 265x30 back.

How would this look, I really don't have a clue on ET's and spacers, so I would like some help here.

I have calculated these measurements from the center:

Front: 8,5/2x2,54 - (20/10) = 8,75
Back: 9,5/2x2,54 - (20/10) = 10,65

Thanks

By the sound of it you have replica 166 wheels. OEM 166 wheels have a front offset of 12 and rear of 28. You won't need spacers. Most people are under the impression that with 166 and 167 wheels, spacers are a MUST. Not true at all. Spacers are just mainly for cosmetics. You will be fine with the offsets and tire sizes you have in hand.

Yes, it is unfortunately replicas.

Regarding spacers, don't they build the wheel longer out towards the fender giving the car a more "slick" line + making more space inside for those who need that?
