I'd like to install an amp and subwoofer into my 2008 550i. Do i need a special wire harness or is it a simple install. If anyone can elaborate id appreciate it. Thanks. reason i am asking is because i went to a installer and they quoted me nearly $600.00 to do the install. He mentioned something about a special Hi to Low converter i needed??

 

It depends a lot on your current setup. Do you have an amplifier in the trunk? If you do, I guess the simpliest way to do it is like I did. See my project log in my sig.
