wheel question.
Not to sound like a total dumbass, but from my understanding you can buy style 166 rims with either an M5 offset or M6 offset, correct?
I am new to this offset thing, and I understand the principle, I just didn't know if you can order one style of rims two different ways...I guess I answered my own question. Each wheel is stock on its respective vehicle.
Don't mind me.
If I ordered an M6 offset on the 166 would I need to change my suspension? Would the wheels rub?

I thought that the rears were 275's for the 166 rims?

245/35/19 front
275/30/19 rear
M6 Offset ALL THE WAY.
If you drop with H&R springs it looks great, but I do have rubbing issues when I hit a big bump and I got a friend in the car. Solo driving, no rub. Its because my fender in the rear isn't rolled. If I rolled them, there would be no problem.
See how nice and close the wheel is to the outer fender? Looks proper:

If I order style 166 rims, will I get hassled by the installers saying that these are not the rims designed for my 535? Leaving no stone unturned...
Thanks guys.

Thanks!!
Thanks, that does look nice close to the fender. Do you know what it looks like not lowered? Will I look like a total ass if I do not lower it?

My e60 is a 535i with sport pkg, 166's with M5 offset...not lowered..good to go...
Member ITNurse has a 535i, 166's not lowered...
member rizbel has 166's on his 545i, lowered..
have a run thru the different member galleries and decide for yourself
where are you located? perhaps a member close to you can recc a good/reputable tire shop...

Just wondering if there is long term detriment to the wheel bearing with the M6 offset.?
