I recently replaced the stock 545i M-sport package wheels (#124) that came on my car with 20" MRR GT-1 wheels. The new set-up includes: 20x8.5 fronts et20 and 20x10 et25 rears.

I had the pleasure of having my car aligned at NTB in Lewisville, TX (suburb off Dallas) and I have to say that these guys are great, in particular AJ and Brandon. These two guys are solid and are tuner enthusiasts. I've had both of them align all my cars, the last one with AJ. He even let me sit in the car throughout the alignment process to get an accurate alignment. I've heard of other dealers putting sand bags in your car to get the "correct weight" in the car. What better way with you sitting in there, since most of the time you're the one driving. I ended up buying a 5-yr alignment program with unlimited alignments throughout this period.

If you're in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area and need an alignment, take a drive out to the Lewisville NTB:

Lewisville, TX 75067
(972) 459-0407

ask for AJ and Brandon for an alignment. I wouldn't have anyone else do it. There's an NTB 5 minutes from my house, but I drive 20 minutes out for these guys.

Someone posted something about only BMW can do the alignment because of the active steering, is that true? Are they aware of that? Did you mention the active steering on your BMW?

Yes, they are aware and no problems arose from them doing it. They've got the alignment within the BMW specs. Had I done any more suspension mods / bigger wheels, it would've pushed it beyond the BMW specs. As they are now, they're perfect. And as others who has Active Steering have mentioned they've had no problems either. Just make sure you go to a competent shop, folks who are good at what they do. I know I'm glad I found this place in my area.

Btw, I only paid $178 for a 5-year alignment program. Others have been fine driving up to 40k or 75k with no alignments, but I like to get mine in there once a year or so.

Hey fellow DFW'er, I'm up in Denton. I'd like to see some pics of your ride. Any mods?

Just make sure that AJ or Brandon will be the one doing the work. I wouldn't let anyone else but these two touch my car for the alignment. If you're not in a hurry to get your alignment, sometimes they run specials which would knock off another $10 or $20 off the package price. I couldn't wait since I mounted the new wheels the night before -- I had no choice but to fork over $178.

All NTB's in our area (within 25 Miles) suck. The employees are young punks that have little to no skills. A few months ago when I needed to mount tires on my 19's. I only went to NTB because they were close and I was excited to install the new wheels. To make a long story short 3 hours after dropping off my wheels they call me to tell me they could not mount my tires. Their excuse was that they cannot mount tires on 3-piece wheels. Although a few year prior they installed plenty of tires on my 3-piece Fikse's.

Generally, I stay away from NTB, aside from this particular store for alignment. I'd take my car elsewhere for tire/wheel mounting. If these two guys were to leave this store, I'd take my business some where else too.

I'm looking at exhaust and front bumper next...will post some pics when I have more stuffs added, else might get laugh at me for posting just the spoiler..

wow thats funny frank. i just went to ntb like 2 weeks ago to fix my alignment. so much better than dealing with the bmw service here in san antonio. i didnt feel like getting an appointment with them bc the earliest they can do is usually like 2 weeks down the road. and they always want to keep your car overnight bc they can never finish it bc they are so busy.

I agree... I try to limit my trips to the dealership for warranty work.
