Yessir, installed myself, took 30 minutes. you pop off wood center trim...remove hazard/lock switch....2 screws hold hvac bezel....2 screws hold cd player. 2 torx screws hold factory idrive screen.....connect new radio harness supplied and feed it up the rear to the new screen ---- DONE!

Hey can juji I am interested in getting something like this, and in the worst case I do not, I would like a backup camera. Could you share how you wired it up (back of lcd screen/head unit?) Thanks ahead of time!

Do you think this is a better buy than modmynav unit?

Hey Juji Thanks, I have seen those instructions before, they seem to stop at step 17 (page 19) I feel like it is not complete as they do not show you how to further connect it to the back of the Idrive screen and or Idrive Unit. Can you provide personal pics/insight or a full tutorial?

Thanks Bro!

(Camera works standalone or you need a multimedia kit to make it work?)

Camera won't work stand alone. I don't think it'll even work with the standard idrive unit because there aren't any video inputs back there. You'll need some special interface for that. But with the aftermarket unit I put in, there is a dedicated video out plug just for the camera. And a power wire for the cam also. After page 19, u just run them thru the glovebox to the back of the unit. I popped out the glovebox light and ran em up thru there. With the wood trim off, u have more access.

Ah alright I got ya, and for the price of the multimedia interface kit, I might as well get the navigation unit. How is it holding up for you atm? possible for you to make a video?

(Also on a side note, I saw your post about the new 10 Watt Pre-Lci angel eyes, can you snap some pics of them on? I am VERY interested as I have the 5watt ones and they suck. )

Thanks bro!
