My opinion is don`t do it unless you can find it really cheap. I have very bad experience with Dynavin units in e46 and VW passat = cheap build quality and poor sound.

sounds good function wise. but what about the idrive? how do u see it?

better than base model radio from BMW, but horrible compared to Nav system from factory

Sounds like u already bought it and installed it. what I mean is( if we install this how do u get ur normal idrive menu and adjust climate for an example.)

Yea, I returned it because it was having iPod glitch issues. I found this one for less $. Wanted to see if anyone has it installed with a small review about it.

To access your idrive menu/screen, u hold down the menu button. You are only replacing the screen, not the m-ask unit. The aftermarket unit comes with a wire harness the interconnects with the factory wiring. No errors codes on dash.

Thanks for the replay. I like the idea. I downloaded the manual but its not clear for me how it plays DVD. M-ask unit has do that, right? I like the fact that its a bigger screen and has a USB and a Nav. I'm considering buying this. thanks for sharing it.

Okay, so I had mine installed for about a month already. Took some getting used to but now its great. Back up camera screen comes on with guide lines, nav is always accurate. Sd card plays all my videos. Great buy for $500. Even came with free back up cam you install into license plate light.
