Mine is getting installed today in addition to under seat mid- bass drivers and subs in the trunk. I will circle back after some windshield time and give you guys my feedback.

What about the iDrive knob control? Does it works on the aftermarket Dynavin?
Also what about the service and check functions? The climate control, seat heating and OBC?

Yes , the knob and steering buttons all work. You actually hold the menu button to switch from your original idrive screen to the new nav screen, bluetooth and ipod.
