Apparently you can tap into the remote turn on of the "subs under the seat" amp but the problem with it, from what I've read here is that as long as the ignition is on, the amp will be turned on as well, regardless of having the stereo turned on.

Ain't I suppose to get the signal for the amp from the rear speakers, just tap into the speaker wires? Will this work or do I have to go another route. I have a friend that works at an audio installation shop and he said the same thing.
Tapping from the rear speakers will not give you the best possible sound you can get. Tap from tha amp, it sounds much better. As for the fuse, its in the back of the right side panel of your trank. Remove the trunk panel on your right side, and it should be fuse 82, I think, there's two of them. You can just check on your fuse diagram, behind your tool kit attached to your trunk.
i dont know how the audio shop did mine but before when i had my e46, the remote wire could be turned on even when the car was off, and the head unit was on. but now, in my 5, the remote wire turns on before ignition.
