so what was the pipe increases in size from the stock. 2inch to 3inch? thanks I have a feeling stock exhaust would not produce that sound. So you too added the Magna flow exhaust? Seems like a nice cheap way to go, was looking into that mod as well. Nice sound with the two paired together.

Yep, that's what I paid. I got it from AutoAnything.com. Free Shipping and no tax. However, I got the High Performance, Blue Filter instead, which cost $10 more. But if you go with the Dry Filter, it's around $270.

Can anyone verify, this specific intake, AFE XP Stage 2 CAI, can be installed onto my 2004 530i (with modification of course)...?

it can fit into your 04 530. pm jordan23junkee for details (he has a 530 too) and had to mod the intake
