Hi all!

Can this AFE cold air intake be installed for a DIESEL car too? - 520d, in my case. ? And are there different filters for diesel and petrol variants?

I sure would luv a more zipper performance! but i think this would void the warranty.?

Thanks.!

Here is another dyno showing the AFE lost power on a 335i.

Dyno: aFe Pro-Dry S Intake VS Stock Air Box

I have read this, but I will be doing an independent dyno on my customers car. I don't think he really let the car heat cycle before he did the run again. I will keep everyone updated.

Also, the ECU has to adjust to the new air flow...just like any modification.

Have had the CAi in my car for 2 1/2 weeks now and all was well. Yesterday, as some of you guys have reported. the increased emissions warning came on. Checked all the connections and everything was tight. Any advice?

Hey jazzbass... I've posted about my increased emissions here http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=61030&hl= and http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=61227&hl=, but not much luck on getting any answers so far... I've had the AFE CAI installed for about two weeks myself and car is running great from what I can tell... I think I'm going to buy an OBD-II code scanner from Sears today to reset Increased Emissions and Service Engine Soon light and see if it comes on again.. if it does, then I'll take it into BMW...
