I'm thinking of installing an aftermarket NAV in the wife's E60. I'd like to place something that accentuates the car. It's a black on black so a slim black case would look great. Ideas on install, location, product and most important -- PICTURES -- are welcomed.....

i definitely like to have one of these
i was considering the panny at first, but although it's nice, the software itself doesn't seem to be as mature as the typical garmin/tomtom based on some reviews i've read

so i stick with tomtom 920 and couldn't be happier (well i could, but quite satisfied).
the sony one is new so i don't think too many people have it
the panny one was listed for $400 on costco awhile back, another one you can consider is the navigon 7100 which got the all black (and i think the company is based in germany)

WOW!! That is really way cool. I notice the aftermarket Navs are integrated into the original screen but how does this work? Also -- these guys are in Israel? Do you know of anyone who has used them? What's the situation on iDrive error codes, etc???? Even if they can't do it here -- they're already on the edge of technology if they can integrate a Garmin device into the OSD of the Beemer...
Too cool..thanks for the post.

I sent them an email -- they can ship the hardware to you but they reccomend a "Professional Install." To me, the hardware is one part but the install is even more important. Surely there are folk here in Stateside that can do this?????

BACK TO THIS THREAD -- anyone have a nifty aftermarket install done already?? Pictures???

What is the details of the hardware? How much is it? I am also interested provided I don't loose any warranty on my current software. Do you think BMW will allow this?...J
