Took a long time to get through the material. After that it was no problem. I had some crappy bits to start with, so I went and got some really good ones and it was a lot better.

When I put mine on, I did the brake pedal first (I also had a clutch to do), and I thought "man, this is going to suck drilling all these metal pedals..." 
but then, when I took the cover off the clutch and saw plastic, I was 
It's a great mod. Are yours AC knock-offs or the real deal? I got some knock-offs from Ebay, and they are great, but they look different than yours.
