Kind of confused on this...

The figure 8 exhaust tip from ACS is just that, an exhaust tip. What does the ACS exhaust consist of? A full exhaust system, muffler, tip, pipes? please educate me.

Will just getting the exhaust tip increase any hp other than just looks? How about getting the different tone? Can I achieve that by getting just the tip?

 

as with most BMW exhausts. it will most likely be muffler only... with nominal gains in horsepower... mostly it is for sound....

-tip is the two round thingies you see where the exhaust escapes from end of your car..changing this will do nothing except looks
-muffler is the piece from the 2nd resonator back and accounts for changes in "tone" of your exhaust
-pipes would refer to just that.. pipes that connect the resonators to the exhaust
-a full exhaust system would techically be from the headers back.....

the tone, which i am assuming you mean sound.. will not change with mere tips.. that is the job of the muffler...... hope that helps...
