Hi

Has anyone tried the abrieb chiptuning modules available from Germany. Allegedly these are plug and play and are pretty cheap.

Anyone tried them??

Cheers, Al

Hi, Yes i recently bought one of these for my 530d (i posted a thread last week but no response) When i fitted the box you could really feel the difference! But if i put the car in park or neutral i was getting a slight vibration through cab and a lumpy tickover. If you get one can you let me know how you get on??? Ive took mine off but would like it back on

I was bought for my previous A6 2.5TDI '02, incredible difference, more power = fun.
But don't wanna try it for my 535D at the moment, think for new diesels need more serious/expensive brand name.

Hi,

I tried one from Abrieb on my 530D automatic transmission and Like Poolie I got the instable Idle problem in Park and Neutral position , also noticed that my injectors were very noisy when the "box" switched on .

I returned it to Abrieb and they send me a refund directly.

I have now a Speedbuster one , and it works well , I don't have the same problems as before.

Though , the power delivery from the Abrieb one was more impressive !

Just my 0,2 Euros

Regards

Hi just bought one abrieb box to my E46 330d (manual). At start notice nothing at all, but after a few minutes, it was something.
The real boosts happen between 1.5k and 2.5k rpm. It felt like driving my car at the very first time.
But real improvement is in the fuel consumption; I get usually 8.5 - 10 L/100Km and now about 6.5 - 8. It's something!

Sometimes I get worried cause I can't understand how can we get more power and at the same time less fuel consumption...

Anyone really knows how this works?
Any long time experience / problems with one box of these?

I forgot to mention that the rev's stay just like before.

hi,
i have one of these, it seems to work and no error codes show.
i also took it to pieces and confirm it is not just a resistor inside (wanted to see if i was being ripped off), there was a printed curcuit board with a chip ect.
would recomend.

I have 1 from CRD tuning on Ebay for my 530D M Sport it works great felt an instant boost pushing me heavily back into my seat defo atleast 30% more power, I took it off when it went to the stealers for a check they didnt say anything no probs with warnings either. Put the chip back on straight away and i notice that mass of power again, cant live without it now.

I had it on 4 months and no probs so far economy is +4mpg too.
