? about the bmw ipod hookup

i just got the hardwire ipod hookup today and was listening to some music,got out of the car to go to the bank and when i got back it,it started from the begining not were i left off. can this be fixed?

I hate this too, but I have read that recent v25 of iDrive fixes the the problem. Talk to your dealer.

im sorry what is v25? i have an 08 535 wouldnt that be on there already? thanks

I have an 08 535xi Sport (LCI) and I'm not seeing that problem. I have NAV and Logic 7 sound system as well. Is it possible there is a difference in behavior due to different options or something?

I assume he is speaking of the library menus. I find this annoying too. You pick a playlist or album. While listening it shows you the tracks in the list/album. You leave the car and return and it is now playing the same song, but shows the now playing menu. To get back to the list or album you have to go back to the root menu and start again.

i was listening to a song,when i got out of the car the i was half way thru the song.when i got back in the car the song started all over again.

what is lci? im new to bmw and dont know what alot of these terms are.

lci = life cycle impulse, a mid-life refresh of the E60. Mine does this as well, returns to the begining of the song I was listening to.

so you cant change this? that sucks! so if im listening to a comedy cd on my ipod and i get out of the car it will just start from the begining?theres got to be away to change this
