Does anyone know if the dual exhaust system that comes standard on the 8 cylinder e63/e64 - would fit on a 545i?

sorry, it won't fit.
The 545i right hand side has the battery compartment in the way for a OEM E63/64 muffler, whereas the E63/64 has it's battery where we have our reserve wheel (allowing space for the right muffler)
you'll have to go aftermarket with other type of solutions - I'm sure quad modders will chime in.

yes, i would love to hear other options as the 645 and 650 sound amazing and my 545 does not. i have an rdsport single. it sounds ok, but a little f1. i have all my resonators in. i would rather my car sound like a real v8

In short will not fit! Beside stock exhaust is restrictive, and heavy... Go for some magnaflows and let the beast breathe, and you will love the sound!
