I am thinking about just switching idrive screen from 6.6 to 8.8...

is it plug and play? or do i have to do all programming and change all ccc as well?

You should look up what it would take to convert from M-ASK to CCC. It is possible but there are a lot of wiring harnesses that will need to be purchased. IMHO it would not be worth it.
