Question for the forum,
What is a solid, reasonable exhaust setup for a 2007 550i. I am interested in maintaining performance and increasing resonance. I want that throaty growl that should accompany this german V-8. How are you guys doing the dual exhaust conversions? Ready to learn

I just had a quad exhaust conversion and I really liked it. I would say it eliminated about 30% of the lag time. GL with your mods

Thought of another question Is is possible to delete the factory resonator to increase the sound. Will this affect anything else?

How about the Eisenmann Race or Sport Exhaust? We can do it in a quad or dual tip setup for you.

Dinan...

The quad exhaust looks great but that is a big mod to your car and not easily reversible. I love modding but I try and keep it reasonable remembering I have to sell/trade this car one day and its worth a LOT less if it's not stock.

Here is a link to some pics showing a 2008 Silver 550 with Quad exhaust. Magnaflow Muffler sits in middle underneath car and Quad Tips. Has a "throaty growl" that you are wanting. The muffler replaced one of the resonators so somewhat more resonance inside the vehicle. Overall great sound.
