545i Stock Exhaust - Mod

Has anybody done any mods to the stock exhaust system ? Like cutting out the cats, or just one, or cutting out 1 or both resonators. How would that sound ? It seems that most of the after market exhausts are quite loud and I would only want my car to be a tiny bit louder. Any sound clips or suggestions ?

have the flap on the right exhaust welded open. you'll get a tiny bit more noise, and any mechanic/muffler shop with a welder can do it in 30 seconds. That'll last about, oh, a month, after which you'll decide it's not loud enough, and you'll buy the aftermarket exhaust anyway. ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)

i wouldn't suggest cutting the stock exhaust. Just get an aftermarket exhaust like RPi ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
