Has anybody done any mods to the stock exhaust system ? Like cutting out the cats, or just one, or cutting out 1 or both resonators. How would that sound ? It seems that most of the after market exhausts are quite loud and I would only want my car to be a tiny bit louder. Any sound clips or suggestions ?

Dont cut the cats! But I can cut one set of the resonators, if its not loud enough cut the other.

If you cut out the resonators it will sound slightly louder and drastically more .....

if you start messing with your exhaust and cut out resonators and such, you might be louder, but you also might lose some torque off the line.

have the flap on the right exhaust welded open. you'll get a tiny bit more noise, and any mechanic/muffler shop with a welder can do it in 30 seconds. That'll last about, oh, a month, after which you'll decide it's not loud enough, and you'll buy the aftermarket exhaust anyway.

whats the flap for anyways? is it to create more backpressure, at lower engine speed, for more torque?

i wouldn't suggest cutting the stock exhaust. Just get an aftermarket exhaust like RPi
