Interior: Portable Sirius Stilletto 100 w/car kit, Garmin Nuvi 680 mounted below rear-view mirror, LCI-style I-drive knob, Dark Poplar Center Dashboard Trim.

It's merely a device to allow more cool air into the intake vs stock. Power increases won't be dramatic. Get the $10K supercharger for more substantial gains (or the ECU remap)
However, the sound, reusability, look, and even feel of the unit made it a worthile upgrade for me and others. Your mileage may vary.

There is an intake duct directly in front of the filter cone. The unit has a physical wall and top to keep it compartmentalized. Cold air enters the duct and gets taken up by the cone. The wall seperates the compartment from the engine. When moving, there should be enough flow to keep things nice and cool vs the rest of the underhood area, allowing the engine to benefit from cool intake air.
