to test the IBS just disconnect it and see if the problem disappears.
the alternator you put in might be a dud from the factory. i don't know what the failure rate is on them from new, but given their propensity for failure on these cars, it wouldn't surprise me much. you should have some sort of warranty on it.

I have this same problem, i think my battery is POS and this is causing this...
The car was in the shop for 6 months, came to get it and it was dead...
Jumped it and it would run fine for the next 15 miles or so, then the ABS/DTC lights came on, Active Steering has not worked since...
I shut it off and restarted it, and it would barely start.. but now okay for another 30 miles... same problem.. IBS or should i just get a new battery ?
