is it possible to upgrade the 530 torque converter to a 545's?
to cope with the higher hp and torque from a SC 530...

 

did u finally changed your torque converter to a 545i's? i'm contemplating the same

 

no...the workshops cant confirm whether it'll work.
hows yr transmission? are u gonna change to a manual, seeing that u are SCed?

 

transmission is fine except when hot it will slip a little but that could happen even on stock car just that it gets hot faster when sc'd. but am really considering manual to get better performance, just that nobody in malaysia is confident enough to do the transplant. most are concerned with the ecu/idrive...any idea?

 

u prob need a hayden trans cooler for your heat issues...
while ure at it, get a oil cooler too.

if u wanna change to manual, reflash yr ecu into a manual 530...in theory...
but nobody's tried it yet, even in my country. if its successful, i'll follow ya! and swap into a TM15..
