Thanks guys for your responses. Listened to the AVI...the tone sounds great to me, however is that popping normal? Does it abate as the engine warms or under other driving conditions?

Not totally. This is better and I might just stop here. BMW parts manager in Dallas is looking for a "sports exhaust" system, but not sure just what that would be. I was asking about retrofiting the X3 muffler since it had a nice note to it, 'specially when boogying. I've got $200 in this configuration and could get the other two resonators out for another $75. Would rather be second to do that than first.

From what I know the resonators do held the droning that can be a real nuisance (eh, I can't spell it) pain in the ass. I'd let someone else try it first.

theoretically speaking, they have to prove that you messing with the exhaust caused whatever issue you are having.

but i'm sure depending on tyour dealer, it might/will get their panties in a bunch.
