Hi guys, we're new around these parts, so excuse me, if I seem new to what you guys are into. Some may know, our company has developed a N54 turbo upgrade, that is dealership friendly (looks totally stock on the outside), and we have been testing for about 6 months. Now mind you this has been installed on a 335i, and we have not yet installed on a 535i yet, we are confident that the turbos will be the same, however things like intake, exhaust, intercooler etc., are all a no-go for the 5er. We have been speaking to one of the members here about a *possibility* of making 535i specific parts. IF we decide to go down this road, what sort of things are you guys looking for, and what are your wants/needs/expectations? From what I have been told the 535i is getting ignored, and we want to try and discuss the possibility of changing that.

Please discuss!

Brian - my name is John and i've been the so-called "ginuea pig" for 535'ers.

Most, if not all 535'ers i've spoken to either in person or on the board,s are interested in the following: quad exhaust, larger FMIC, larger oil cooler, CAI and of course, larger turbos. pls keep in mind, all of the above would have to have some hard proven numbers in order to get anyone's attention.

i helped AFE R&D their intake for the 535 and it turned out to be a joke! make a long story short, it lost power and induced limp mode!

now you obviously will want to pick choose one product to make, if you ask me...i say you do the quad exhaust. of course, with solid proven numbers!

if you'd like to discuss further, feel free to contact me directly at: macfly69@aol.com. i'm actually 15 mins away from Fullerton!

hey brian welcome, to the forums. I'm glad you decided to post. We spoke over the phone regarding the e60s. As you can see there is definitely much interest for after market parts for the N54 engine. but as John put it, we need and want items that are prove. I'll call you in the morning tomorrow to reconfirm our meeting.

Hi guys, this is one thing I will tell you all up front. I will not put my signature on a part that does not make power, this is something I have real pride in. If I produce a part that will bear my name, it BETTER have results to back it up, otherwise I will scrap the project, plain and simple. I do however need to see a lot more interest from the 535 guys to jump in however, so please spread the good word!
